The Welding Institute has announced a Technical Group webinar titled “Offshore Pipelines”, scheduled for 18 March 2026, 1:00–3:30 PM (GMT), hosted online via Teams.
The agenda is built around four angles: UOE SAWL line pipe fabrication (with seam welding, NDT, and WPS/consumables choices), mechanically lined pipe (MLP) and clad pipe concepts and standards, offshore pipeline design and installation (including S-Lay, J-Lay, Reel-Lay), and an advanced PAUT session for girth weld inspection, featuring an automatic weld scanner discussion.
The event is pitched to engineers with materials, metallurgy, mechanical, or inspection backgrounds, plus project and operations roles around offshore pipeline work. Fees vary by membership category, and the page also notes that registrants can get access to the recording after the event (subject to conditions), while non-members can activate a free one-year AWeldI option through the registration form.
