Kemppi Wins Red Dot Award for Zeta Fresh Air Systems

I've previously mentioned that brands like ESAB in our industry have also won design awards for their products this year. Kemppi has also joined the ranks of this year's winners.

Kemppi's done it again. This time, it’s the Zeta Fresh Air systems, the Zeta W201x and Zeta G201x, bringing home the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024. These beauties, born and developed in Finland, are all about user experience, ergonomics, and protection. But more than that, they’re a testament to how far safety gear can go when innovation meets practicality.

Chief Engineer Antti Seppälä shared some cool insight into how the Zeta concept came to life. What started as a quest for a lightweight grinding mask quickly evolved into something more—a versatile welding mask equipped with exceptionally clear automatic glass. The Zeta W201x and G201x come loaded with thoughtful features—battery-powered LED work lights, one-hand control buttons, and a PFU 210e-powered filter that blocks 99.8% of harmful fumes. Not to mention, the helmet's auto-darkening filter, enhanced with VISION+ technology, offers a crisp, broad view to minimize eye fatigue. In other words, Kemppi's put serious thought into what welders need on the daily.
