ESAB Launches Dueler EHL 1500 Handheld Laser Welder

ESAB has stepped into the handheld laser welding market with the introduction of its first unit, the Dueler EHL 1500. This compact, air-cooled machine is designed to weld up to four times faster than TIG and twice as fast as MIG, making it a notable option for fabricators looking to boost productivity without compromising on quality. The system integrates the laser power source, wire feeder, and controls into one portable package, removing the need for bulky external components.

The Dueler EHL 1500 comes with a 7-inch touchscreen that offers two modes: manual for advanced users and synergic mode with pre-programmed settings for common materials. This dual setup lowers the barrier for new operators while still offering flexibility for experienced welders. ESAB designed the welder to run its own wires, available in carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and copper alloys, and it is also capable of welding titanium and nickel. With adjustable output from 150 to 1,500 watts, it can handle materials from thin sheet (0.5 mm) to plate thicknesses of 6.5 mm.
Practical features like adjustable wobble width and frequency, multiple welding modes, and memory for job parameters help fabricators tailor the process to different applications. The system is also compliant with laser safety standards and comes with an ESAB helmet and accessories, making it a ready-to-use kit.
