TEKA Absaug- und Entsorgungstechnologie GmbH has been announced as the new sponsor of the prestigious “Young Welders Competition”, a platform that nurtures the next generation of welding professionals. Organized by the DVS (German Welding Society), this competition celebrates young talent and highlights the importance of skill development in the welding industry.

The next round of this inspiring event will take place at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025, the leading trade fair for joining, cutting, and coating technologies, held in Essen from September 15–19, 2025. TEKA is set to elevate the competition by providing state-of-the-art extraction and filtration technology for the participants’ workstations in the event’s welding arena.

The “Young Welders Competition” includes national and international events, such as the DVS Federal Competition “Jugend schweißt” and the “International Welding Competition.” Young welders, aged 16 to 23, will compete across four welding methods: TIG, MAG, manual metal arc, and gas welding. The top talents will earn the chance to represent their skills on a global stage at the ARC Cup in China.

The competition underscores the role of modern technology in fostering skill development while ensuring the health and safety of young professionals. TEKA’s collaboration with DVS highlights this synergy, with Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking, DVS Managing Director, noting, “This partnership showcases the importance of technology in training and protecting young welders. We’re excited to debut this collaboration at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025.”
