CWB Group (Canadian Welding Bureau) has introduced a new remote examination option for CSA W178.2 - Welding Inspector Certification, allowing inspectors to complete their Practical and Report exams online. This remote option, available since July 15, 2024, uses a weld inspection simulator, enabling candidates to inspect 3D weld specimens and measure discontinuities virtually. This initiative reduces the need for travel, offering a more convenient way to achieve certification.

To facilitate the transition, we are offering a free demonstration presentation for a limited time, designed to familiarize users with navigating samples and using tools for accurate measurements within the virtual simulator. This demonstration features representative weld samples and tools similar to those contained within an exam and is intended for users to become comfortable with navigating the tools and samples in virtual environment.
